GUI System is Finaly Responsive

Postby leeor_net » January 14th, 2010

After a grueling bit of work rebuilding the input system and redeveloping several sections of the GUI and accompanying logic, we've finally got the GUI developed and responsive enough to begin building the user interfaces and even the editors we've been talking about!

The video isn't much but you can see that controls are indeed responding. We can close windows, buttons change color (we're working on properly skinning the different states of various controls) and the program quits when we hit the Quit button.

Not shown in this video (because I didn't think about it), controls are properly sorted and drawn in order, input is directed to controls that have focus (input doesn't bleed to the game itself or other controls) and focus is handed out appropriatly.

We're well on our way!
